Life Fitness 95Ti Treadmill Goes the Distance in
Record-Setting Run
The Life Fitness 95Ti treadmill withstood the ultimate durability test when two of them were used
to set a Guinness world record for the longest distance run on a Life Fitness
95T model in a
24-hour period. American Christopher Bergland, 38, logged 153.76 miles in 24
hours, breaking the record of 153.6 miles previously set by Edit Berces in
Budapest, Hungary.
Bergland and Dean Karnazes, 38, who fell just short of the record, ran side
by side on a Life Fitness 95Ti treadmill in the front window of Kiehl's Since 1851, an
old-world apothecary in New York's East Village, where Bergland works.
A New York native and ultra-endurance athlete, Bergland says he only runs on
models such as the Life Fitness 95Ti model. In the past 10 years, he has logged more than 25,000
miles on these treadmills, which is more than once around the Earth at the equator
(24,901.55 miles).

“The Life Fitness 95Ti is incredible," Bergland said. "We
put so much stress on these treadmills and they worked flawlessly throughout the entire
event. I am more dedicated than ever to the Life Fitness brand.”
“Life Fitness is honored to have been part of this historic event and proud
that an elite athlete like Christopher chooses to run on our treadmills,” said
Kevin Grodzki, president and chief executive officer, Life Fitness.
“Durability and reliability are keys to our products’ popularity and
respect, and this feat provides further evidence that quality contributes to our
leadership position in the treadmill category.”
The Life Fitness 95Ti
The Life Fitness 95Ti treadmill is the company’s best treadmill model for commercial use, while the entire
line (97Te, 97Ti, 95Te, 93T, 91Ti, 90T) of treadmills is the most used
commercial brand worldwide. Built with the most durable, functional components
available, the 95Ti is put through the industry’s most strenuous tests,
including continuous use for at least twice its warranty time.
The Life Fitness 95Ti also features the patented FlexDeck shock absorption system, which
reduces impact to lower-body muscles, joints and bones by nearly 30 percent and
results in a more comfortable workout.
“Running on a Life Fitness 95Ti treadmill has helped kept me injury free because
the FlexDeck reduces so much of the impact on my joints,” Bergland stated.
“Once I ran on the FlexDeck, I couldn’t run on anything else.”
New Home Version Coming Soon
Later this year, Life Fitness will bring to market a home
version of the Life Fitness 95Ti – the redesigned T9i. This enhanced
version of the current T9i will be based on the platform used for the company’s
health club treadmills and will be Life Fitness’ top-of-the-line treadmill for
home use. The unit allows customers to bring health club
treadmill workouts into their own homes and will have the
contemporary look of the company’s health club models.
Additionally, the home version of the Life Fitness 95Ti
treadmill will feature the same FlexDeck technology as the commercial
models, a pre-lubricated health club-grade belt and reversible deck for longer
life, the patented Lifepulse digital heart rate monitoring system sensors and a
wide array of interactive, customizable and standard workout programs.
