price tag of about $1,700, the Tunturi
J5F model offers some features others don’t, making it stand out more
from the crowd in treadmill comparisons.
Manufactured by the Turku, Finland-based Accell Group, the
Tunturi J5F treadmill is one in a long line of fitness-related machines made by
the company. In addition to motorized workout equipment, Tunturi is known as the
largest bicycle manufacturer in Finland. Perhaps the most distinguishing feature
about this company is its longevity. The company has been manufacturing for
nearly a century, easily making it one of the oldest manufacturers around.
The Tunturi J5F comes with a variety of features for user
comfort and ease. The company’s treadmills are known for their cushioning system
and noise reduction features. The treadmill also offers a console with a
scrolling information bar that tracks time elapsed, distance covered, speed,
elevation and more. The exercise modes provide manual training and a heart rate
control option. Eight training profiles are offered along with a feature that
allows the preset profiles to be scaled for intensity and time.

other models, this one comes with a roomy running surface that falls in at 20 by

As with most of Tunturi’s other offerings, the
J5F treadmill comes with two-year warranty. According to home treadmill
reviews, this is decent in the field, but
hardly the best offered by manufacturers in the price range.

some nice options, a solid company reputation and a reputation of durability.
