The Yowza Juno Running treadmill is a solid performer

commercial grade 2.5 HP continuous duty motor with a precision-balanced
flywheel for a quiet, smooth performance, crowned rollers with sealed bearings,
a 1" triple-laminated and reversible phenolic wax deck, and a 20" x 55"
running surface that sports a multi-ply PVC running belt with a nylon-polyester
Whisper Weave bottom.
The patented Floating Deck shock absorption system has 10 multi-durometer
elastomer rings placed so that your landing foot gets a softer cushioning on
impact, while your push-off foot has a firmer surface at the rear of the deck.

For quick heart rate checks, you can use the pulse grips on the front handrails,
and for the Heart Rate Control programs, use the Polar wireless chest strap
transmitter to keep you training in the target zone.

The Yowza Juno Running treadmill has seen a $200 price increase in 2011
and that, unfortunately, pushes it into another more competitive price class.
Most reviews written last year were done when it was on sale at $999, making it
an exceptional value and easily one of the top three or four machines at that
price. For $1199 it is still a good but not great deal. It is hard enough to
find a really good runner’s machine for under $1000 and things may stay that way
in this wobbly economy, so it’s anyone’s bet if it comes down in price again. If
you are inclined to pay the increased price for the Yowza Juno, you might as
well step up in quality and buy the Smyrna.
