needs in terms of frame stability, a powerful motor, challenging programs, and

Major Selling Points
The components on the Yowza Smyrna Running treadmill include the cool-running
3.0 HP continuous-duty motor, crowned rollers with sealed bearings for smooth
belt revolutions, a 20" x 60" running area, and a 2-ply PVC running belt.
The Floating Deck system uses progressively softer, multi-durometer elastomer
cushions that provide a softer landing surface at the front of the deck and a
firmer push-off area at the rear. The 1-inch thick deck is laminated phenolic
wax-impregnated that is reversible (to double its useful life) and is
maintenance-free.
The Yowza Smyrna also features an iPod dock, a pair of hi fidelity speakers,
Polar heart rate receiver (wireless), 2 water bottle holders, a 3-speed fan, and
pulse grip sensors on the front handlebars. This is a very heavy treadmill for
runners with a 270-lb welded steel frame with a 350-lb user weight capacity.

The console’s one-touch buttons lets you choose Quick Start,
adjust incline up to 12%, a speed up 11 mph, or pick from among the 15 pre-set
programs.
The workouts include a 5K running or walking “Learn” program, Heart Rate
Control, Weight Loss, Speed intervals with 12 levels of intensity, Fitness Test,
Target workouts, and more. The large LED display also allows for input of up to
9 user profiles that record age, weight, and fitness level.
A Good Deal in a Mid-Priced Model
The Yowza Smyrna Running treadmill is a non-folding model that tends to be
overlooked in the pack of machines designed specifically for runners. There are
not a lot of treadmill reviews on this one but what has been written has highly
recommended this model. It has a very good warranty program: lifetime on the
frame and motor, five years on Parts and Electronics, and 2 years for in-home
service. This is a beautiful, strong, and well-designed treadmill that will give
you years of worry-free workouts. If you can find it for $1,399, the Yowza
Smyrna is a Good Deal.
